Who We Are
Nixon Methodist Church is a small rural community church of warm and friendly people, who love the Lord and each other. This congregation was formed in 1906 and sustained many changes within itself and the community of Nixon. We are family oriented, and love to worship the Lord, fellowship with each other and love meeting folks from all walks of life.
Supported by fervent prayers, faithful discernment, and a sure hope for the future, we invite you to learn more about us, and to plan to join brothers and sisters around the world for a bright and bold new future!

Meet Our Pastor
Audrey Hewell
Hi! I’m Audrey. I’ve been the pastor at Nixon Methodist since February 2021. I tried to retire in 2020, but God had other plans. I am a second career pastor having received my call to ministry in 2005. After the passing of my husband of 30 years, I married Johnny Hewell in November 2021. Together we have four children and eight grandchildren. We live on a ranch outside of Nixon, TX raising charolais cattle, a horse and chickens. We love visitors, so come sit on the patio and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation with us! God calls us out of darkness into His glorious light to know and experience His love. It is my greatest pleasure to serve the Lord in the Nixon community and walk beside so many wonderful people.
